Hermann has been voted Missouri’s Most Beautiful Town, and once you visit, you will understand why. This area is often referred to as Missouri’s Rheinland, or America’s Rheinland. Trust me when I tell you, you will want to stay for more than one night and explore Hermann and the surrounding area.
Park your car at the Inn, and bike east or west for an up-close-and-personal look at all the beauty of this area. If you can handle a hike, you will definitely want to climb Grand Bluffs Conservation Area in Bluffton. The view is breathtaking.

If you admire historic churches, you will want to ride (or drive) up to the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Martin’s Church Museum, just 2 miles up Highway P, between Mile Marker 105 and 106. The beautiful Valentine Hall is on the property. The restrooms are open daily. Your soul will thank you.

There are several transportation services in Hermann that will pick you up at the Inn, take you in to Hermann to local attractions (restaurants, bars, wineries, breweries, distilleries, museums), and bring you back. Debbie Vanausdoll, owner of Lyft You Up Rides, runs 7 days a week, early morning to late evening. Call/text her directly at 314-608-3202.
· Have you ever gone for a ride on the Amtrak Missouri River Runner? You can take some great day trips to the West (Jefferson City, Sedalia) or to the East (Washington, Kirkwood). You can also put your bike on the train to Bike Katy Ride Amtrak.
